Dr. Laurie Bassi is the CEO and co-founder of McBassi & Company and is the chair of the board at Bassi Investments, Inc. She is a leading authority on the emerging "decision-science" of human capital management. She also has overseen the development of the McBassi People Index,® a tool for identifying and improving the unique people-related drivers of an organization's business results.
Before founding McBassi & Company, Dr. Bassi served as the Vice President at the American Society for Training and Development and a tenured professor at Georgetown University. Dr. Bassi has authored more than 80 published papers and books including a paper titled "Does Engagement Really Drive Results" that explores the true human drivers of business results. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University, a master's degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, and a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Illinois State University.
